The RSD & Correlation application calculates the Relative Standard Deviation (RSD) of up to 10 figures of a statistical population less one “n-1”, plus the Standard Deviation (SD) and Arithmetic Mean or Average (Avg) of these figures.
The average result is calculated by adding all the individual results and dividing this sum by the number (n) of individual values.
The standard deviation is a measure of how precise the arithmetic mean is, that is, how close the numbers are. It is a measure of error.
The relative standard deviation (RSD) is very often used in analytical analysis and statistics works. It is normally expressed in percent and is obtained by multiplying the standard deviation by 100 and dividing this product by the average.

Note that RSD differs in a minor way from the commonly used coefficient of variation. The coefficient of variation divides by the mean rather than the absolute value of the mean. If the mean is negative, the coefficient of variation will be negative while the relative standard deviation (as defined here) will always be positive.
It also calculates the Pearson product-moment correlation coefficient of 3 to 5 sets of figures {x,y}. The Pearson correlation coefficient is the best estimate of the correlation of X and Y.
All in a simple easy to use application just enter the data and get your results!
