Phalanx is a cunning game of strategy. In this abstract strategy game for two, your goal is to have more of your pieces on your opponent's home row at the beginning of your turn, before your opponent does the same!

This is very chess-like in that it's easy to learn yet difficult to master. The best players spend time developing their pieces to ensure victory.

The most effective way to win is to create lines of stones called phalanxes. The longer the phalanx, the further across the board you can travel. Phalanxes can also be used to capture your opponent's phalanxes.
