Use the iPad/iPhone as a convenient photo viewer of your photos. Browse the millions of fantastic pictures of the PBase universe, download or share the ones you like. With PBase Viewer photos on PBase can be conveniently reached and shown in a stylish manner. You will not have to fiddle with tapping on next/previous text buttons, and photos can also be viewed full-screen. Once in a gallery, a full-screen slideshow can be started from any photo with smooth transition between pictures. The duration of slides can be set. PBase.com and your account can be used as in a browser, but without the distracting browser menus, tabs. The program requires internet connection.


DETAILED DESCRIPTION:

— In native mode the screen won’t have the distracting elements of browser programs, otherwise you see PBase as in a browser.
— In full-screen mode the longer dimension of a picture (no frames) fills the longer dimension of the actual orientation. Orientation can be changed by turning the device. Unfilled parts are black.
— In both views there is a hideable semi-transparent toolbar at the bottom of the screen with buttons for mode-specific functions.
— Tool bar buttons in native mode: Back/Forward; PBase.com; Your root gallery; Your Pbase profile; Start slide-show; Help; Full-screen; Refresh.
— Tool bar buttons in full-screen mode: Save image; Share on Twitter; Share on Facebook; Slideshow; Back to native mode.
— A slideshow can be started from any picture (in both modes), once in a gallery. Pictures will show in full-screen mode with smooth transition between them. Slide duration can be either set to a default value or can be chosen on each occasion a show is started. 
— There is gesture navigation in both view modes. Gestures are tapping on large tapping areas and/or swipes.
— Convenient help screen describes gestures, tapping areas and other functions
— Essential help is shown on first start of the app.
— Your PBase account can be given on first start of the app or in settings. The program then will always start up on your PBase root gallery. 
— The app can be started on the main PBase.com page (no account is set). 
— Browse photos all over the PBase universe in the view mode of your liking. 
— Comment on, vote for (original PBase functions) or download by a dedicated function (if allowed) your favorite images, or share them on Twitter and Facebook.

Limitations, known issues

— The app intently works only under the pbase.com domain. Either pbase.com or pbase.com/user must be given in the settings.
— Some areas of the full-screen-browsing page may be hidden from ordinary tapping by navigation tapping areas. This can occur with landscape image comments or voting. In such cases pinch zooming on the required link will move the link out of the hiding tapping area, and the link can be tapped.
— In native gallery view next or previous gallery pages cannot be reached by gestures, only hitting next/previous buttons will work.
— While in full-screen mode the app caches the next picture to speed up loading. During loading of either the actual or the cached picture (activity indicator shows) only one tap/gesture is registered, which is executed when loading finished. During loading activity to prevent unpredictable behavior further gestures are ignored.
