The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office has developed an I-phone app designed to help the agency easily share vital crime-related public safety information with interested citizens.

The content at this time includes:

1. Basic information on our stated law enforcement mission

2. Primary office and substation locations and directions to sites where citizens can access and interact with Sheriff’s Office personnel for various public safety-related functions

3. Contact phone numbers for most major agency departments

4. Access to the agency’s public website at sheriff-okaloosa.org

5. A link to the agency’s “Take a Look – Catch a Crook” program which allows citizens to view surveillance images in cases where the agency is attempting to locate either suspects, witnesses, or persons of interest. It also includes a “tips” link.

6. The ability to search the agency’s Active Warrants by name

7. A link to the Emerald Coast Crime Stoppers program which contains information on various crimes, as well as the ability for the public to provide anonymous tips

8. Links to the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office YouTube and Facebook social media accounts

9. A link to NIXLE, a law enforcement provided service that provides community alerts and advisories for incidents ranging from blocked roads to significant weather-related information

10. A link to CrimeReports.com, a secure and free law enforcement related service that allows citizens to access crime information specific to a geographic area.
