According to the most recent Government statistics, 32% of students who come to Secondary school with a level 4 in Science will achieve 2 academic GCSEs at grade C or above. Furthermore, Primary schools dedicate significantly less time to Science compared with English and Mathematics and yet often, the Science level is the greatest of the three.
The purpose of this app is to ease the transition between Primary and Secondary by giving an insight in to the sorts of activities expected in the Year 7 National Curriculum. There are many opportunities for assessment of the knowledge taught within the app, all for a price significantly below an hour of private tuition!
This app is targeted at students in years 5 – 7, but there is no reason why it cannot be used as revision for older students, or perhaps if your child wishes to get ahead of the game.
