Application Description
HI-cebreaker is here to help you meet interesting people that are right around you. If your HI is on, their HI is on and you are within 300 feet you can see and talk to each other. It’s not about big chats on your phone. It’s about Breaking The Ice without having to go up to a someone out of the blue. But then if you hit it off, it becomes about getting up meeting for real. Afterall, the person you are chatting with is right there a few feet away from you!
This is for all those times you wanted to approach someone but felt too weird to just take a run at them.
Of course for you to find interesting people on HI to meet, a lot of people have to have their HI on in your area. HI has just released recently. So if you download it today don’t be surprised you don’t find a lot of people around in HI. You can also help us improve the HI app by getting your friends to download and use it amongst each other. Or you can follow the progress on our HI-cebreaker facebook page.
So what will the HI do for you?
1.First and foremost, wherever you are, you can look around see if there is anyone that interests you for any reason and then check to see if they have their HI on. Then, risk free, you can Break The Ice!
2.When you are in ad hoc groups like class rooms, at events, etc. you can group chat with everyone who is in range whether you know them or not: get some group action going.
HI-cebreaker is not a singles app although it can certainly be used by singles to meet other singles. However, you can turn the ‘flirt’ mode off and let people around you know you are not into that. You may just want to meet the person with the interesting book next to you at the funny kid in your class or the other person stuck waiting for the same plane or anybody that seems interesting, especially when you are bored out of your mind... Remember you will be able to see the people you can ping with HI standing around you in the real world. It will be up to you (or them) to reach out and Break The Ice.

Intensive use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life. For this reason, HI-cebreaker runs on the background just listening for significant location changes.
