DJ 2strong formally known as Christopher Mejia was born June 12th, 1987 in the Dominican Republic. He came to the states when he was 8 and was raised between the Bronx and Washington Heights. He has been into music his whole life. At the age of 19 Chris finally decided to become a DJ. His inspirations were some of the best Deejays like Alex Sensation, Danny S, Jevi Jay, Camilo, Mad, C-lo, Lobo, and of course DJ Enuff.
In spring 2007 he started developing his skills and promoting himself through private parties. He started moving on up to hot spots like Series 56 and Club Blue. DJ 2Strong has DJed in clubs Uptown, Manhattan and Queens like the Cana Y Cafe, Mimosa, Umbrella, Papasito, Arka, Luna, Raine, Tette, Bogarts, Nuves, Club Rebel, Crystals, Downtown Rebel and many more. He also makes his effort to travel outside New York into Connecticut in clubs like Club 77, 5 Senses, Gotham and Club Oracle, thanks to Richie Rich and Xtreme entertainment.
You might be asking yourself what makes him different than all the rest? He’s known to have the sickest mixes, mixing Merengue, Bachata, Reggae, Reggeaton, HipHop, R&B, House, Techno, Spanish, Rock, and Salsa, pretty much the best of the oldies and the best of what we listen to today. In 2010 DJ2strong graduated from Connecticut School Of Broadcasting. He has high expectations for himself and his dream to one-day work for a radio station.
