Places allows you to save the GPS coordinates of important and interesting locations, mountain scene, supermarket, shop, restaurant, market, garage, .... etc. This could be very useful if you are traveling and need to keep a record of key points of interest.

You can associate a title with each of these locations and Places will record the date and time when the location was visited and saved.

You can store multiple locations and for each location you can view the location map. The map will also show you your current position relative to the saved location.

Places does not require an active connection to the internet when saving locations but you may need an active connection to view the map.
