The AFA Caregiver application is for Caregivers of individual's with Alzheimer's or Dementia who wear a Breadcumbmobile GPS tracking device. The AFA Caregiver application gives caregivers who own iPhones with iOS4 or later the ability to keep track of these individuals. The AFA Caregiver Application, Breadcrumb BC 300 Tracking Device and associated software were developed in collaboration with the Alzheimer's Foundation of America (AFA). The iPhone AFA Caregiver app is free, but requires the purchase of the BC 300 Tracking Device and a subscription to the monitoring service. This solution will allow a Caregiver of a person with Alzheimer's disease to at anytime check the location of their loved one and receive a text message, e-mail or a phone call on their iPhone when the person with Alzheimer's disease is wandering away from their predesginated areas such as their home. The AFA Caregiver app will display the mapped location, route traveled, and current address of the person with Alzheimer's disease.
