Practice your Hazard Perception Test
Checkout your driving perception and reaction times.
Proper training can help you to recognise more of the hazards that you will meet when driving and to spot those hazards earlier. So you are less likely to have an accident.
The actions of other road users that may cause you to change speed or direction whilst driving could develop into a hazard, so you will need to identify anything that is potentially hazardous! You tap the touch screen every time you think something is happening that could be a hazard. The app will record when you tap the touch screen and present your perceptions of hazards back to you on a timeline.
Of course many of the times that you suspect that a hazard may occur – it won’t! – But in one, or two instances during the video clip a real hazard will develop – Remember... you will need to have identified well before it has clearly developed into a real hazard.
The earlier you identify the hazard the better (both in real life and on your theory test!), but before you start tapping the screen randomly or rapidly - you should know that this is not allowed! …and the app will detect if you are being over enthusiastic with your screen taps!
After you have gone through the clip we will show you our solution and rate your reactivity to the main hazard – the earlier you identify the hazard the better!
